Throughout the year we admit students into the Academy via Swindon Borough Council's In-Year Admissions process. If you would like to apply to move your child here, follow the instructions above. In order for us to process new students and put them on roll we require parent/carers to complete an In-Year Admissions Form (with essential contact information) and a Permissions Form (e.g. for trips, photography etc). The Admissions Officer will send you the relevant links to complete these online, once your child has been allocated a place here.
Please read more about Nursery at Swindon Academy (Alton Close, Penhill and Beech Avenue, Pinehurst) here
For Primary School Reception through to Year 6, there are 2 separate school sites, Beech Avenue and Alton Close. When applying please state your preferred site, however we cannot guarantee which site you will be allocated as this is subject to strict admissions criteria and spaces being available at the location you prefer. It would be helpful for us if you could kindly complete the Supplementary Information Form and return to Admissions: Admissions Officer.
Go to the Swindon Borough Council website to apply.
At Swindon Academy all our Year 6 students are entitled to a place in Swindon Academy Secondary at Year 7, so although you need not apply though Swindon Borough Council, you do need to let us know that you wish them to continue their education with us. We will make contact with you about this while they are in Year 6.
For your child to join Year 7 at the start of the academic year in September, applications need to be made by the end of October the previous year, through Swindon Borough Council. Swindon Academy run a Grammar Stream within the Secondary phase. In order for your child to be eligible to join they MUST already have a place at the school in Year 7. You can find out more on Grammar Stream on separate webpages.
If you're moving mid-year, please go to the Swindon Borough Council website where you can apply for an "In-year" transfer between schools during the academic year.

Choosing the right Sixth Form could be a crucial step in setting up your child’s successful future. United College Sixth Form, based at Swindon Academy’s Beech Avenue site, attracts more than a third of its students from other schools in the area, and continues to build on its reputation for academic achievement. Key to our performance is how we coach young people through to their next stage in life, be it higher education, or the start of their career. They directly benefit from our relationships with industry and Marlborough College. The vast majority of our Sixth Form leavers get a place to study their degree at their preferred university. Destinations include Durham, Cambridge, Exeter, UWE, UCL, Cardiff - in fact, all over the country.
Please have a thorough look through the UCSF pages on this website to make sure we are the right choice for you. The application process is quite simple. You can choose your subjects at the interview stage alongside our expert staff. Any issues please contact Admissions
