The Swindon Academy Christmas Hampers

Four years ago, Kiz Davis invited her neighbours to start a collection for local families who would value a Christmastime Hamper. In the first year, the neighbourhood was able to create around ten hampers.

More people have joined in year on year, making food and monetary donations. This year Kiz has also generated support from local supermarkets -  £100 worth of goods from Holly Peters and her team at her Sainsbury’s Local, a matching donation from Jane Atkin and her team at Asda Orbital and 75 boxes of mince pies from Paul and his team at Aldi in Latham Road. 

For Christmas 2020 over 30 hampers will be made up and distributed to families in need by Swindon Academy staff.
