By teaching children to approach tasks creatively, we bolster their ability to think outside of the box and become innovate designers. The pupils are encouraged to become driven problem-solvers, who can identify needs and opportunities for high-quality, well-designed products. Whilst studying DT, they will combine practical skills with an understanding of how to make a product that functions in the wider world, by analysing existing products and creators. They will also become reflective and discerning creators themselves, by evaluating and improving their creations to ensure high-quality in all areas: aesthetic, construction, and function.
