Government Funding and Fees

We are delighted to offer a variety of payment options, please see below:

Universal entitlement

All three and four year olds in England are entitled to 15 hours per week over 38 weeks of the year. Funding can be used from the term after your child turns 3. There is no need to apply for this funding.

Working families

For 2 year olds,15 hours per week over 38 weeks of the year.
For 3 & 4 year olds this can be combined with the universal entitlement to make up 30 hours.
Please apply via this link Childcare Choices

Families receiving additional government support e.g. Universal Credit

  • For 2 year olds, 15 hours per week over 38 weeks of the year.
  • Funding can be used from the term after your child turns 2.
  • Please email EY&Cbrokerage@swindon.gov.uk to apply.

Paid Hours

  • Any nursery hours not covered by funding are charged at £5.50 an hour.
  • Nursery fees are payable one month in advance and are paid via www.parentpay.com
  • Payment is required even if your child misses a session (i.e. you are on holiday or ill) as the fee secures your child’s place.  This is normal practice in childcare services.

Tax-Free Childcare can be used to help pay for any additional hours. You pay into the account, and HMRC will top up this amount by 20%, up to a value of £2,000 per year, or up to £4,000 per year if your child is disabled. Tax-Free Childcare - GOV.UK

Universal Credit can help with the costs of childcare. You may be able to claim up to 85 per cent of your childcare costs if you’re eligible for Universal Credit and meet some additional conditions. Universal Credit childcare costs - GOV.UK
