Term 

What are we learning

Origins of Abrahamic faiths 

Students will start to gain an understanding of the Old Testament narrative. They will explore Genesis and Noah, Abraham and the Covenant, Abraham’s sacrifice, Exodus and Leviticus and the Nature of God in the Abrahamic faiths

Judaism 

Core Jewish beliefs, Jewish Scriptures, Orthodox and reform Jews 

3 

Judaism 

The Temple and Synagogues, Shabbat, Pesach and Yom Kippur 

4 

Christianity  

The nativity, Jesus Ministry, the Sermon on the Mount, The death of Jesus 

5 

Christianity  

The resurrection of Jesus, the Nicene Creed and Original sin  

6 

Revision/ Mastery 

Revise all of the above and practice core skills of describing and explaining beliefs, practices and significance.
